Ariel “Ari” Gavilan is an award winning, multilingual, and multicultural global communications leader and business reputation strategist.
Originally from Buenos Aires, Ari began his career as a journalist, contributing to some of Argentina’s most prominent news TV programs. His journey led him to pursue a degree at Columbia University in New York, after which he served as a foreign correspondent in Washington DC before transitioning to the corporate world.
As Head of Communications for renowned brands like Jeep and Alfa Romeo, Ari crafted and executed compelling narratives, orchestrated impactful product launches, and spearheaded key announcements worldwide. His team’s achievements include earning the 2023 PR News Platinum Award and the Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America.
With a fervent commitment to cross-cultural engagement, Ari pioneered the launch of Chrysler Group En EspaƱol, an exclusive Spanish-language media platform targeting traditional and social media across the Americas.
Currently, he leads a consulting practice and shares his expertise as a faculty member at the University of Michigan, where he focuses on Reputation Strategy and Management for Global Business.
Ari finds joy in playing tennis and soccer and resides in Michigan with his beloved wife and a temperamental cat.
